SEO Cost in Mysuru: What the Monthly Fee Covers
By the Fauxigent team
Local SEO in Mysuru (Mysore) is usually sold as a monthly fee for ongoing work, sometimes with a one-off setup at the start. What the fee should buy is a list of specific work each month and a report on what it produced, never a promised ranking. The price depends on how competitive your searches are, the state of your website and Business Profile, how many services and locations you want to be found for, and whether ads run alongside. This guide shows what SEO work covers, what changes the price, what a good monthly fee lists, and how to compare two proposals.
We do not publish a price list, and this guide does not quote numbers. That is deliberate: the same fee can buy very different work, so a figure without its contents tells you little.
What SEO work actually is
Google describes an SEO professional's work as reviewing your site's content and structure, giving technical advice on how the site is built, creating content and researching keywords, managing online campaigns, and training. For a local business in Mysuru, that becomes a few concrete jobs.
- Google Business Profile: categories, services, photos, posts and replies, kept current.
- Your website's pages: titles, headings and a page for each service and area, written for the words customers use.
- Technical fixes: speed on a phone, indexing, redirects and broken links.
- Listings: the same name, address and phone number on Justdial, Sulekha and other directories.
- Reviews: a routine for asking customers and replying, within Google's rules.
- Tracking and reporting: calls, WhatsApp taps and enquiries counted, so the report shows results and not only visits.
Our page on SEO in Mysuru explains each in more detail.
What decides the price
| Factor | Why it changes the cost | Ask this |
|---|---|---|
| Competition | A search that many agencies and businesses want takes more effort than one nobody targets. | Which searches will you go after, and why those? |
| Your starting point | A clean site and a healthy profile are quicker to work on than an old site, duplicate listings or a suspended profile. | What did you find wrong on my site and profile, and what will you fix first? |
| Services and locations | Each service you want to be found for usually needs its own page and its own work. | How many pages, and which, are in the plan? |
| Content | Someone has to write the pages and guides. If that is the agency, it is priced in. | Who writes the content, and how much is in the monthly fee? |
| Profile and reviews | Looking after a profile and a review routine is steady weekly work. | Is profile management included? |
| Ads alongside | Ads bring enquiries while SEO builds, and they add setup and weekly work. Ad spend is paid to Google or Meta directly. | Is ad spend separate, and who manages the ads? |
| Reporting | A plain report is quick. A detailed one with calls, forms and revenue takes longer. | What will the report show, and how often? |
What a good monthly fee lists
A useful proposal is a list, not a number. Each month you should be able to see something like this.
- The work planned, by name: the pages to be written or improved, the fixes to be made, the profile updates.
- The work done, with links or screenshots.
- The results, in the numbers you agreed: calls, WhatsApp taps, direction requests, form enquiries.
- What is next, and what you need to supply.
A fee that says only "SEO services" with no list is a fee you cannot judge.
Warning signs
Google's own guidance on hiring an SEO is direct.
- A guaranteed ranking. Google says no one can guarantee a first place, and to be wary of anyone who claims to, or who alleges a special relationship with Google. Google does not take money to rank sites in its organic results.
- Secrecy. Be careful of a company that will not clearly explain what it intends to do.
- Link schemes. Google advises avoiding SEOs who talk about link popularity schemes.
- Deceptive content. If an SEO creates misleading content on your behalf, your site can be removed from Google's index, and you are responsible for the companies you hire.
- Unsolicited approaches. Cold emails offering to get you to the top are a warning sign.
You can read Google's page on whether you need an SEO.
How long it takes
Google gives no timeframe for SEO results, and warns against anyone who promises one. In our experience, fixes to a Business Profile can show results within weeks, while competitive searches take months. A sensible proposal says what should move first and when you will check.
Comparing two proposals
This example is invented to show the method. It is not a client.
| What to check | Proposal A (flat fee) | Proposal B (itemised) |
|---|---|---|
| The promise | "Top 10 rankings for 20 keywords" | No ranking promised; a list of searches to work on |
| The work | "On-page and off-page SEO" | Six pages written, profile updates, four fixes, listings clean-up |
| Reporting | A monthly ranking report | Calls, WhatsApp taps and enquiries, plus what was done |
| Ownership | Not mentioned | Profile and analytics in your name |
| Exit | 12-month lock-in | Monthly, with a short notice period |
Proposal A may sound better because it promises more. Under Google's guidance, that promise is the warning sign, and the proposal tells you nothing about the work. Proposal B is more modest and easier to hold to account.
Questions to ask any SEO
Google suggests asking these, and they work on us too.
- Can you show me examples of your previous work and share some success stories?
- Do you follow Google's Search Essentials?
- What results can I expect, and how will they be measured?
- Have you worked in my industry and my area?
- How will we communicate?
- Will you explain every change you make to my site?

How we quote
We quote after a free first call, because the work depends on your competition, your site and your goals. We do not publish a price list. You then get a written scope that lists what is included and what is not, and ad spend, if you run ads, is paid by you to Google or Meta. To start, book a free call: it is a conversation, not an audit, and there is no obligation.
